Purpose of this website
The purpose of this website is to promote my work as a children’s writer, illustrator, and cartoonist. The intended audience is primarily people who may want to learn more about my work, publish my work, or hire me to teach classes.
What information is collected
Information that may be voluntarily submitted to this website includes the following:
Blog comments (including name, email address, and website if applicable) for the purpose of posting comments on blog entries.
Contact form information (including name, address, email address, phone number, and comments) for the purpose of getting in touch with me through an online form.
Email form information (including name, email address, and comments) for the purpose of getting in touch with me through an ordinary email.
Order form information (including name, phone number, and mailing address) for the purpose of ordering products.
This website also collects cookies. Usage of a cookie is in no way linked to any personally identifiable information.
What is done with the information
Any information submitted to this website is used only for the purposes described above and will never be given or sold to a third party. All information is private (seen only by me) except posted blog comments which may be viewed by other website visitors. Personal information collected online is retained for only as long as is necessary to fulfill the purpose for which it was collected.
What information is not collected
At this time no credit card information, or any other personal information, is collected.
Because of the nature of my work, visitors of this website may include children under the age of 13, and therefore this website is compliant with the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA).
No personal information is collected from children under the age of 13 except for the voluntary information listed above for the purposes listed above.
Children under the age of 13 should always get parental permission before submitting information to this or any website. Parents may have access to their child’s personal information to review and/or have deleted upon request, and parents may have the opportunity to prevent further use or online collection of their child’s personal information upon request.
