New cartooning workshops are scheduled at Miller Center in Brighton on March 8 from 4:30-6:00 (call 810-299-3818 to register) and at Huntington Woods Parks & Rec on April 1 from 2:00-3:30 (call 248-541-3030 to register). Watch for flyers in local schools for other classes.

My short story "The Mystery of the Magic Lunch Bag," which originally appeared in Highlights, received a Letter of Merit as a runner-up in the SCBWI Magazine Merit Competition.

Another short story, "Eggs For Mr. Raskin," was awarded Honorable Mention in the 78th Annual Writer's Digest Writing Competition in the Children's/Young Adult Fiction category.
